My Story

My name is Cyan. I am a First Nations Aboriginal Women of the Darug, Gamilaraay and Wiradjuri Nations.

The journey I have travelled in life is a vast one. One that has led and qualified Sweeping Countries Birthing.

I specialize in areas that work side by side with First Nations People and other parties in collaborating better working practices whilst building relationships between First Nations/non-First Nations Peoples. I name this practice ‘Walking Without Shoes’, metaphorically speaking.

Principles Of My Work

I have given a good part of 35 years to this field where I’ve learnt, grown, been gifted, and earned knowledge as a First Nations Person from within First Nations Family, Communities, whilst walking with Aunts, Uncles, and Elders.

I have developed an understanding of what ‘Cultural Wellbeing’ looks like and how to achieve this after 1788 since the ‘First Fleet’ flowed into Sydney on Country.

The Vision

Bungarra Ngurangbang‘ (Bun-gurr -a Ngur-ang-bang) meaning Sweeping Country (in Wiradjuri language) is a Aboriginal Business that offers a service that cater for the personal needs of the consumer.

The vision is to work professionally, with individual care, holistically with Creator Spirit, People, Country – Flora, Fauna, Sky, Water, Air, and Earth walking with soft feet in a ‘environmentally friendly way’ to offer a better way of doing things in this stone age.
